Fresh Start Communications, LLC is a Public Relations, Branding and Media Solutions company that has been in operation since 2011. We specialize in marketing non-profits, city governments, housing agencies and charter school networks to tell their story accurately and emotionally as well as creating strategic branding programs that will position agencies in their respective markets.

Members of the Fresh Start Communications team have a long history of working with public bodies to take complex subjects and convert them into easy to understand stories for the public. As a contractor, Fresh Start has worked with the East Feliciana Parish School Board, The Monroe Police Department, the Houma-Terrebonne Housing Authority, InspireNOLA Charter Schools, Algiers Charter Schools Association, the Greater New Orleans Housing Alliance, Westwego Housing Authority, former US Senator Cedric Richmond, Bamtra Enterprises, the No Kid Hungry Program, the Jefferson Parish Housing Authority, the Greater New Orleans Foundation and Volunteers of America.

OWNER, DAVID JACKSON

The principal David Jackson has more than 20 years experience working as a Director of Marketing and Communications for three of the largest public agencies in the Region. He birthed Fresh Start Communications, LLC in 2011 and has clients, both large and small throughout the Southern Region.

Jackson coordinated events with President Barack Obama, President George W. Bush, HUD secretaries Alphonso Jackson, Secretary Shaun Donovan and Steve Preston. He also managed interviews with the President Obama and NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams.

He created ribbon-cutting events featuring Mayor Mitch Landrieu, Mayor Marc Morial, US Representative Cedric Richmond, US Senator Mary Landrieu, US Representative Joseph Cao, and dozens of New Orleans City Council people during the past 12 years. He has appeared or commented as a spokesperson for the Housing Authority on all local news stations, CNN, NPR, USA Today and four international networks (RTRPlaneta, Globovisia, BBC & Al-Jazeera).

His expertise is in pulling together several disciplines (photography, video, writing, graphic art, web development) to create a beautiful and impacting finished product. He also manages a diverse team of creatives.
